Mercado Livre invited Mau Cardoso to illustrate and animate the classic yellow van as it travels through a universe full of pop culture references.

Mau created playful, multiverse-inspired versions of objects, locations, and characters from movies, TV shows, and games. For example, Wilson from Cast Away becomes SPALDING, and the time machine in Back to the Future isn’t a DeLorean—it’s a REFRIGERATOR, just as originally written in the movie’s script.
